The Bhana Institute was established in 2010 by Trisha and her mother, M.D.  Rampersad (a HR professional), to develop programs and workshops to self empower individuals to reach their full potential personally and professionally. The Bhana Institute is planning future partnerships with government agencies, non-profits and community organizations to facilitate growth for individuals, and in turn the health of their communities.  Programs are available to adults of all backgrounds and families in various locations around the lower mainland.

BHANA Outreach:

After many years of requests for Kathak lessons, Trisha, BHANA Design Company and its associates combined efforts to create and outreach program under The Bhana Institute, which strives to empower children and youth in self discovery by delivering superior programs in rhythm and dance to facilitate self empowerment.  The ultimate goal of the outreach program is to empower children and youth from low-income backgrounds and difficult circumstances, through rhythm and dance to become active, healthy and retain a strong sense of self.  Arts such as dance and music, combined with self development allow students to be exposed to different and engaging experiences so that they may have a broader vision for their future.  The need to understand ourselves is the first step to empowerment through self discovery.  Bhana’s outreach spans throughout South Africa partnering with local organizations to allow various communities have access to this important opportunity for youth.
