Upon her graduation from the Art Institute of Vancouver Fashion Design and Merchandising program in 2007, Vancouver fashion designer Trisha Rampersad had one very clear vision to make clothes that men and women would love to wear; clothing that ultimately serves as an expression of their spirit in every occasion.  Shortly after, BHANA Design was established in 2008.  Trisha has a unique way of creating her designs; she gets her inspiration from her surroundings, experiences and spirit of her environment, ultimately creating her clothing out of the dreams she has.

Trisha has always believed that clothing represents the history, confidence, authenticity and true spirit of the individual who adorns the classic feel of custom tailored apparel.  It is this belief that she strives to reflect in her designs, which are self described as an African celebration of European design, articulated by the colours of Asia on a Canadian landscape.  Trisha has received accolades from various media celebrating the class, elegant and refreshing style of BHANA that is truly a reflection of the human collective.  In 2006, she gained recognition for her Earth Child Design featuring garments made from sustainable materials.  In addition to her own shows, Trisha’s designs have been featured at various venues since BHANA’s launch, including Vancouver Fashion Week, BC Fashion Week and the LBA/aWear Charity Fashion Show for Free the Children.
